For locals. For visitors. For the bay.
Enjoy the bay.
Help protect it.
Meet Pocket Skipper. A local boating guide in your browser, helping you explore the bay and care for the habitat beneath it.
Bay outline from NOAA chart data · Not for navigation
A little knowledge makes a difference.
Protect what you
came to enjoy.
New to the bay? Renting a boat? A little local knowledge helps. Propellers can tear up seagrass in shallow water. Pocket Skipper helps you get to know sensitive areas before heading out.
Before you leave the dock: ask your rental provider to show you how to raise the motor and avoid shallow seagrass. Trimming up alone does not make shallow water safe.
Read NOAA’s seagrass protection guidanceStarting here.
Open to going further.
Currently available only on St. Andrews Bay in Bay County, Florida.
We’re happy to expand to other parts of Florida and across the country.
A local information guide, not a navigation or safety tool. Keep a lookout and use current official charts.
Terms of service
Terms of service
Effective October 29, 2026.
These terms govern your use of the Pocket Skipper website and web app. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
About the guide
Vote Vote Win LLC owns and operates Pocket Skipper, this boating guide. Current coverage is limited to St. Andrews Bay in Bay County, Florida. We welcome opportunities to expand elsewhere in Florida and across the country, but do not promise additional coverage or a launch date.
Use on the water
The guide provides general information about places and mapped areas. It is not a navigation system, nautical chart, depth sounder, emergency service or source of live hazard warnings. Locations, boundaries, conditions and reminders may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or unavailable. A marker or an unmarked area does not establish safe passage, water depth, permission to enter, permission to dock or legal access.
You remain responsible for operating your vessel, maintaining a lookout, checking current official charts, weather, tides, posted restrictions and applicable rules, and following your rental provider's instructions. Have a passenger use the guide while underway. Do not rely on the guide during an emergency; use the appropriate emergency service.
Permitted use
You may use the guide for lawful personal trip planning and reference. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access or misuse another person's account. Third-party map data and other materials remain subject to their own licenses and attribution requirements. A rental listing or link does not make us a party to your rental agreement.
Availability and responsibility
The guide is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, Vote Vote Win LLC disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the guide. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
We may update, suspend or discontinue features and restrict access for misuse. Updated terms will be posted with a revision date and apply prospectively. Florida law governs these terms except where applicable law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Privacy policy
Privacy policy

Who operates the guide
Vote Vote Win LLC operates Pocket Skipper, this website and guide. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our website and web app.
Location and maps
The guide asks your browser for location permission. If you allow it, your location is used in browser memory to display your position and nearby reminders while the guide is visible. The application does not send your precise device coordinates to our server or store a trip trail. Location updates pause when the page is hidden. You can revoke permission in your browser or device settings; location features will then be unavailable.
Map tiles load directly from OpenStreetMap's servers. Those requests disclose your IP address, browser connection information and the map areas you view, which can reveal an approximate location. OpenStreetMap processes this information under its privacy policy. Opening a rental company's phone link opens your device's dialer; the guide does not send your location to that company. Other linked services have their own privacy practices.
Accounts and technical information
Public visitors do not need an account. The current application contains no advertising or analytics trackers and no public email signup or payment form.
For administrators, we store the username or email address chosen as the username, a password hash, session records and records of administrative activity to authenticate users, protect access and manage published information. A necessary sign-in cookie expires after eight hours; signing out removes the active session. The server temporarily uses connection information to limit sign-in attempts. Administrator accounts and activity records remain stored until removed; the current application has no automatic retention schedule for them.
Hosting, security and retention
We host the service with DigitalOcean. Our servers and hosting provider process connection information, including IP addresses and requests, to deliver and secure the service. Routine HTTPS access logging is disabled on our website, but error and security logs may contain IP addresses, request paths and technical details. Web-server logs rotate daily when nonempty, with up to 14 rotated files retained. Other operational records and provider backups may follow different retention schedules.
Database backups include administrator accounts and activity records. Our scheduled database backup process removes copies older than 28 days; infrastructure backups may also retain copies under the hosting provider’s backup schedule. Removing information from the active service does not immediately remove it from existing backups. Administrator account and activity records currently have no automatic deletion schedule.
We use HTTPS and access controls to protect information, but no system can guarantee complete security. Authorized operators and service providers may access information as needed to operate, maintain and secure the service. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety or the service. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Messages and privacy requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond, provide support and handle requests, and retain correspondence as needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Our email provider processes these messages. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
To ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion, contact Vote Vote Win LLC at allanbranch@gmail.com. We will handle requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for security or legal reasons. We cannot retrieve a trip trail or precise location history that our application does not store.
Choices and updates
You can close the guide or revoke location permission to stop location updates, and administrators can sign out to end their session. Browser settings can block cookies, although administrator sign-in will then be unavailable. Updates to this policy will be posted here with a revised effective date. If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it.
